Bartoli blasts Nalbandian

Marion Bartoli, News

Marion Bartoli, the defending Eastbourne champion, is unhappy with David Nalbandian following his angry outburst in the 2012 final at Queen’s Club that resulted in a shin injury to a linesman.

The Argentinian ace was disqualified against Marin Cilic when he kicked the advertising hoarding that then injured the official – resulting in disqualification.

French ace Bartoli said:

“As a tennis player you go through a lot of things mentally during matches.

“Sometimes you have some ups and downs and you’re leading and you think the match is yours but then you’re losing – which is hard to handle as those bad comments go through your mind.

“But kicking is not a way to express your negative thoughts.”
